China Family Visa

Passports Visas & More
Passports Visas & More is a China Visa Service provider helping travelers obtain China Visas. Our China Visa Offices are located in Downtown Orlando and in the Coral Gables area of Miami. The information listed below allows PVM to apply for the Chinese visa on your behalf. You do not have to apply in person at the consulate. PVM will apply for you but in order to do so you must follow the steps below.
Please read before proceeding:The Embassy of China has instituted a new process for the visa that was implemented on September 30th, 2025. The process is significantly different than the old process and will require information to be uploaded to the application which is now an online form. We provide you with a fillable PDF version of the form below which asks the same questions the online Chinese application does and we use your responses to complete the online form. At that point we will then request an approval from the Embassy. Once the approval has been obtained we can then submit your passport to the Embassy for submission.
PVM China Visa Processing Fees:
9 – 10 Business Day Processing – $400.00 *Fees include consulate, service and shipping fees to and from PVM*
6 – 8 Business Day Processing – $500.00 *Fees include consulate, service and shipping fees to and from PVM*
*Fees include Fedex shipping to and from PVM and our office in DC. Processing times start once the application is completed and we have all the documents we need to submit to the embassy. PVM does charge a $25.00 fee if travelers request an alternate return fedex delivery address for their passport.
HOW DO I PROCEED?
PVM requires you to complete our fillable online version of the Chinese application form (listed Step 1, Letter A). We also ask that you review the requirements in Step 1 completely. PVM operates by appointment only and will only make an appointment when we are provided an application form and are able to review it.
Simply follow the 3 steps and the requirements given for each step. These steps are as follows: Step 1 – gather and prepare the documents, Step 2 – Email a copy of your documents for review and online completion, Step 3 – Prepare to come to our office for application completion.
China Family Visa
STEP 1 – Gather and prepare the required documents
A. Application form (Click here for Application)
Please use the link above to fill out the form. This application is a PVM form which we will use to complete the application form on the actual Chinese Application website for you. Unfortunately, the Chinese consulate requires that all sections of the application be filled which is why we proceed in this manner. Please do not leave any questions blank including the flight information. Completing the application without specific and correct information will cause you to have to redo the application. Once you have this completed please email it to us at info@passportsvisasandmore.com
B. Drivers License
Clear copy of your valid driver’s license or a copy of your utility bill showing your full address. We mainly work with travelers who reside in the state of Florida. If your license is not from Florida please let us know. We may still be able to help you but the process and cost may be different.
C. Valid Passport
A valid passport that has 2 facing pages marked “Visa” not “Amendments and endorsements”. The consulate generally gives US passport holders a 10-year visa provided their passports have more than 3 years of validity remaining. That said, there are instances where the consulate will issue a shorter-term visa and will not give specific reasons for it other than “consular discretion.” In order to apply for any Chinese visa your passport must be valid for more than 6 months and must be signed.
D. 1 travel letter explaining any trip taken to Turkey/Kenya/Nigeria that shows your passport. They will want to know the dates, purpose of travel and who you traveled with. The is not required if you have not been to these countries.
E. An invite and copy of the inviter’s National ID or Foreign Resident Card. The inviter must either be a Chinese national or a resident. A copy of the Chinese National ID or Resident ID must be provided. It is the responsibility of the traveler to secure a proper invite. The invite must have the information listed below on it. Any deviation from these requirements will require a new invite and if the invite is different from what is on your application a new invite will be required. It must have the following details:
- Your name and passport number as the person being invited
- Your purpose of entry
- Dates of travel
- Address of where you will be staying
- Inviter must sign by his/her name
- Chinese national ID or foreign resident ID copy must be provided
- Invite Form included in application form. PVM provides an invitation format that can be sent to your inviter to fill and sign.
For S Visa applicants who are visiting foreign nationals, please note that visiting someone in China who is there on a Z visa does not automatically give them residence. They must apply for residence in China and obtain a residence card. Until this is obtained they cannot invite you as a Z visa only allows you to enter for long-term work but it doesn’t grant residency.
F. Clear copy of your most recent China visa or a detailed letter explaining why you cannot provide a copy of your visa.
If you cannot provide a copy of the old visa the consulate will make you draft a letter explaining the circumstances as to why you cannot submit a copy. They will not accept a 1 sentence letter. Please give details of what happened.
China has stated that any previous 10 year visa that was issued before March 28, 2020 will be acceptable for entry into China as long as the visa remains valid and no changes to your name or birth information have been made since.
G. A copy of documentation showing proof of relation to the inviter.
If visiting your parents or siblings, usually a birth record or any set of documents tying you to the inviter is accepted. For spouses of former Chinese nationals, you must present proof of marriage, your spouse’s current passport, US status, birth records and if your spouse has become a citizen, a copy of their naturalization certificates.
First Generation US citizens whose parents were Chinese please note that the consulate has added a new request for your application. First Generation US citizens with Chinese parents must submit the following information:
- A copy of your birth certificate
- A copy of both of your parent’s green cards or previous Chinese passports with US visas
- A clear copy of your parents naturalization certificate
- If you are unable to provide these documents the consulate states that you will have to write a letter signed by both parents and the traveler explaining why the materials cannot be presented. They may still deny your letter and even request you go in person.
H. If you are a former China passport holder, we also need the following:
- Your last Chinese passport. This is a definitive requirement. In the consulate’s eyes, getting a US passport or other nationality’s passport forfeits your right to Chinese citizenship. As a result they will require you to turning your Chinese passport so they can cancel it. If you have already had this done you can submit a copy of the Chinese passport showing the passport has been clipped and cancelled.
- Your name in Chinese Lettering
- A clear copy of your naturalization certificate
I. Foreign Nationals with Residency in Status in the U.S. need the following:
- A copy of the front and back of your permanent resident alien card or US resident visa. Holders of B1 or B2 visas cannot apply in the United States.
- Copy of your current I-94 if you have a US visa
- If you have multiple passports from other countries you must use the passport that is tied to your residency visa in the United States.
- Pricing may be lower depending on nationality and number of entries. Dual nationals with US citizenship applying in the US must use their US passports.
J. If you are a US naturalized citizen, we need the following:
- Copy of naturalization certificate
- If you have changed your name please show your name change documentation or write a letter explaining the reason for your change of name and why you cannot supply the proper documents. Just be as honest as possible in the letter.
- If you cannot provide your naturalization certificate or were naturalized through your parents you must submit a letter explaining the circumstances of how you obtained your citizenship.
K. Signed “Where Are You” form (Click here to see the form)
STEP 2- Email your initial application and requirements to PVM at info@passportsvisasandmore.com
Please send us by email the above version of the application along with scans of the other requirements. We will complete the online version and invite you to our offices to finalize the application, take your photo and collect the original documents. We will then print out the application for your signature. Reminder that PVM cannot guarantee the issuance of a 10 year visa as the embassy makes the final decision.
STEP 3- Prepare to come in to our office to drop off your original documents and begin the process.
Once your application is completed and we verify the information we go ahead and make arrangements to send the documents to our office in DC for processing. You do not have to go to the Embassy. We have an office in DC that will do the submission for you. Our Florida offices are located at:
