How it works: The Brazilian visa for US citizens is an Evisa. We can apply in one of two ways. The first way is to make an appointment to come into our office with the information listed below and we will make the necessary preparations to apply for you. The second way is to save the documents below as PDFs and JPGs (the photo must be a JPG) and then upload them to the link on this page. We will confirm any uploads sent to us within one business day.

General Application Requirements:

  1. Valid US Passport information page scan(signed, valid up to the end of Brazil trip, 2 visa pages free). Image must be very clear and clearly display your passport information.
  2. Passport-style photo JPG (2” x 2”, white background). Must be a JPG photo and a white background. The photo must have the following qualities:
  • Facing the camera directly so that both ears are visible
  • Cannot contain any shadows
  • Lighting of the photo must be even on both sides of the face. Once side cannot be brighter than the other and there can be no shadows.
  • Background must be a bright white background with contain nothing in the background. The background cannot contains bricks, popcorn siding or any photos.
  • No smiling or showing teeth.

* The visa process requires a verification process that is done once your documentation has been submitted. The process is very particular about photos and 95% of the delays are caused by the photo. Please ensure that you adhere to the above requirements for the photo.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR MINORS

  • In addition to the visa application requirements stated above, applicants who are younger than 18 years of age at the time of application must present the following additional materials:
  • Original birth certificate and one copy
  • Authorization for Issuance of Brazilian Visa for a Minor, signed by both parents
  • For children of Brazilian parent(s): Declaração de Não-Cidadania declaring that the applicant is not a Brazilian citizen (does not hold a Brazilian Birth Certificate), signed by Brazilian parent(s).
  • If only one parent is listed on the birth certificate, only that parent’s signature is required.
  • If one parent has sole custody of the applicant, a notarized copy of the court order awarding sole custody and exclusive parental rights must be presented.
  • If one parent is deceased, a death certificate must be presented.
  • Copy of passports or other form of photo ID for both parents.
  • Children must apply under tourist visas not business.
